About JAF . Gifts from the Private Art Collection of Judith Alexander

Judith Alexander left an impressive art collection, a part of which came to the Foundation in 2005 including works ranging from self-taught artists, such as Nellie Mae Rowe and Bill Traylor, to those of abstract expressionists like Franz Kline and Josef Albers, as well as photography by Robert Frank and Harry Callahan. While a few pieces have been offered at auction, raising funds for our mission of supporting Georgia visual artists, most are being carefully gifted to arts institutions over time and across the planet. The goal is to find homes for the various works where they can be seen and appreciated by the public for many years to come.
